The Florida High School Seminoles defeated the Leon High
Lions at Florida State’s home Friday night. Nole fans were fired up for
homecoming as they took on the Lions. The band played sings to make the crowd
get up and dance, while the cheerleaders kept the spirit alive. The Noles, who
are 1-1 at home, scored the first touchdown of the game setting the tone for
the night. Even though it was the Nole’s homecoming, the Lions weren’t giving
up without a fight. Leon High matched the score within 3 minutes of the Nole’s
touchdown. Florida High quarterback Ronnie Harrison scored two running
touchdowns in the game.
Halftime was game time for many Florida State High School
who anxiously anticipated the crowning of their homecoming king and queen.
After they were crowned, the Noles continued to dominate. They continued to be
consistent and they defeated the Lions 35-21. The Noles will travel to play
Walton High in DeFuniak Springs next Friday at 7 p.m.
